Why choose an abdominal ultrasound at Endomedix?
-
01
Immediate diagnosis and a detailed report
With us there is no unnecessary waiting: our specialist continuously analyses the live image on the monitor during the examination. Once the measurements are complete, you immediately receive the detailed medical report and the saved images, so treatment planning can begin on the day of the examination.
-
02
Risk-free, painless technology
Ultrasound does not use ionising radiation, only safe sound waves, so it is completely harmless to your health. The process involves no physical intervention, so it can be repeated any number of times — making it ideal for monitoring children and patients with chronic conditions.
-
03
Specialist support, comprehensive approach
At our centre, we see ultrasound not as a stand-alone test but as the cornerstone of a complete gastroenterological work-up. Our specialists are highly experienced in judging when an ultrasound diagnosis is sufficient and when it needs to be supplemented with further instrumental examinations.
How should you prepare for the examination?
For an accurate result, please follow the instructions below — each one helps ensure your abdominal organs are clearly visible.
-
01
Empty stomach
Do not eat for 5–6 hours before the examination, so that gas does not obscure the organs.
-
02
Smoking and chewing gum
Please avoid these before the examination: they cause you to swallow air into your stomach, which obscures the organs.
-
03
Fluids
Drink only still water: coffee, tea and sugary drinks affect the state of the gallbladder.
-
04
Previous reports
Bring your previous abdominal ultrasound or gastroenterology results with you for comparison.
