Body composition measurement - Bio Impedance Analysis (BIA)

What's the point of dieting if you're losing muscle mass? Nothing in the world! In fact, it is more harmful than no change in body weight! But the same is true in reverse. You often hear people say in cases of malnutrition to drink lots of sugary tea and eat bacon! Unfortunately, it's a bit more complex than that - if all you do is increase fat mass in a person with an abnormally low body weight, you can do more harm than if you leave everything as it is. Our body wants and strives for balance! Fat and muscle mass must be in proportion to each other to maintain and restore health.

Presentation of the study

The test is carried out with the Bio Impedance Analyser, the most suitable instrument for measuring and monitoring body composition today. Prior to the measurement, height, age and gender are required to determine the most accurate result and to set the ideal reference values. The test is painless and takes only a few minutes.

What to know about the test

Measurement is not recommended in case of implanted pacemakers or pregnancy! Please strictly follow the instructions below before the test to ensure that the results are accurate. If the following conditions are not met, then the measurement is feasible, but in the case of follow-up it is impossible to assess the changes.
  • The day before the test, do not do more physical activity than is considered normal for you.
  • Do not eat or drink any liquids for 8 hours before the measurement. Arrive at the clinic on an empty stomach!
  • Visit the toilet and empty your urine before the test.
  • Measurements are taken in underwear for precision and traceability!

Results of the study

The results obtained will be assessed and presented to you by a specialist, in comparison with the ideal values for your gender and age. The target to be achieved will be set together. You will take the results of the test with you on a clear evaluation sheet, which will be a perfect reference and motivation for future follow-up tests.
