The following blood tests are needed for the first specialist diabetology examination:
full blood count; kidney function; liver function; blood lipids – triglycerides, LDL cholesterol, total cholesterol; HbA1c; blood glucose – fasting or 90 minutes after a meal, or both if possible; urine, urine sediment; urine albumin-creatinine ratio / UACR; CRP; uric acid; TSH.
