Preparation and consultation
You arrive at our centre at the agreed time with an adult companion. First, the anaesthetist reviews your previous results and current state of health in detail, and then prepares you for the painless procedure.

Our specialists insert a thin intravenous cannula, through which the modern anaesthetic is given. Within moments you drift into a deep, restful sleep, while the anaesthetist continuously monitors your vital functions.

The examination and procedure
While you are asleep, the gastroenterologist performs the sigmoidoscopy. If necessary, they painlessly take a biopsy sample or remove any polyps found during this time. You will not feel anything of the procedure.

Waking up and results
When the examination is over, the anaesthetic is stopped and you wake up within minutes with a clear head. After a short rest, our specialist explains the results in detail, and then you can leave the centre with your companion.
