Surgeon and gastroenterologist, Head of Department (Endomedix Szolnok)
I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Szeged, and since then I have been part of the team at the Department of Surgery at the Ferenc Toldy Hospital in Cegléd, which I have led as acting and subsequently appointed head of department since 2011. I have several decades’ in-depth clinical experience in the comprehensive investigation and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders.
My clinical specialism and focus centre on endoscopic diagnostics and minimally invasive surgical procedures. I carry out a large number of gastroscopies and colonoscopies, which I perform with the assistance of my excellent anaesthetist colleagues, including under general anaesthesia (pain-free) where required.
My key preventive and therapeutic activities include the endoscopic removal of gastric and colorectal polyps (polypectomy), screening for gastrointestinal tumours, and the regular, protocol-based endoscopic follow-up and monitoring of patients who have undergone surgery.
In the field of proctology, I also strive to use the very latest, minimally invasive techniques: it is a source of professional pride that the very first Hungarian scientific publication on the gentle HAL-RAR haemorrhoid surgery – which is considered pioneering in our country – originated from the department I head.
As well as providing day-to-day medical care, I pay particular attention to introducing new, patient-centred surgical and proctological technologies in Hungary.
