High-quality endoscopy – not just an examination, but a carefully structured process

At Endomedix, we believe that the quality endoscopy much more than just a technically performed gastroscopy or colonoscopy. We work in accordance with detailed professional guidelines designed to maximise patient safety and the effectiveness of cancer screening, which are also outlined on the following page: High-quality endoscopy at Endomedix.

At our centre in Esztergom, these quality principles form part of our day-to-day practice. Our doctors and assistants carry out a large number of endoscopic examinations, so they have developed an outstanding routine in the detection and removal of polyps and the identification of early-stage cancerous lesions. Specialised examinations and complex, challenging cases we particularly like, because they offer professional challenges and opportunities for development.

State-of-the-art equipment and modern endoscopic techniques

Endomedix stands out even at national level with a range of endoscopic equipment is working on, the main elements of which are on the page showcasing our range of instruments We also describe this in detail. State-of-the-art high-resolution endoscopes, specialised magnification and supplementary imaging techniques, as well as precise documentation, all ensure that not a single important lesion goes undetected.

We place particular emphasis on the investigations for your comfort and safety. Part of this is that at Endomedix centres – including the one in Esztergom – for as many procedures as possible carbon dioxide (CO₂) insufflation we use, which you can read about in detail at In our article on CO₂ insufflation . This technique is gentler on the body, leading to a quicker recovery and less tension and bloating for patients.

Procedures under anaesthesia – maximum comfort in a safe environment

Many patients are apprehensive about the idea of mirroring, which is why we in Esztergom also consider it particularly important that under anaesthesia, pain-free so that the examinations are accessible. Our anaesthetists use state-of-the-art, short-acting anaesthetics, with continuous monitoring. Details of the anaesthesia and the safety protocol are set out on the Endomedix subpage dedicated to examinations under anaesthesia: Examinations under anaesthesia at Endomedix.

Thanks to the anaesthetic, the patient remembers almost nothing of the examination; any discomfort are avoided, whilst the quality of the procedure is in no way compromised – indeed, the calm surroundings are even more conducive to a thorough and precise endoscopic examination.
