Gall bladder removal - the gall bladder containing gall bladder tissue can be surgically removed in one of two ways.
Laparoscopic gall bladder removal is common, where the diseased organ is removed through 3 small incisions using endoscopes and instrument guiding cylinders.
If it is not possible to remove the gall bladderor there are contraindications to this method, it may be removed by conventional surgical incision. The advantage of the laparoscopic method is that the healing time is faster and there are fewer surgical scars.

This can be done by ERCP and ursodeoxycholic acid, but often one procedure is not enough.
