Inflammation of the oral cavity – inflammation of the oral cavity mainly covers inflammatory processes of the oral lining, collectively known as stomatitis.
The inflammatory process is mainly caused by bacteria, viruses and fungi. Predisposing factors include poor oral hygiene, immunodeficiency, vitamin and trace element deficiencies, and conditions following radiotherapy or chemotherapy.
