Esophageal inspection tools

Esophageal examination instruments - fibre-optic instruments (various endoscopes), thin pressure, pH or impedance (resistance) meters are used to examine the esophagus with instruments.

These have to be swallowed by the patient, which is more unpleasant than painful. However, with close cooperation with the doctor and specialist assistant and some self-discipline, it does not cause undue distress to patients.
