I graduated in General Medicine from the University of Debrecen in 2017. I was attracted to gastroenterology from the beginning of my undergraduate years, both for the possibility of endoscopic interventions and for the dynamically developing theoretical part. During my university studies, I was placed in both TDK and OTDK in gastroenterology, published several articles as a contributing researcher, and during these years I also explored the world of clinical studies.
Since 2017, I have been working at the Gastroenterology Department of the ÉPC-Honvédkórház, where as a tertiary care centre I had the opportunity to encounter almost all possible gastroenterological diseases and to learn both upper and lower gastroenterological endoscopies, capsule endoscopies, liver biopsies.
In addition to hepatological and intestinal complaints, I consider it important to identify the psychological background of the problems and to explore/treat them as soon as possible, even with the involvement of other specialists. Unfortunately, at present in Hungary, inadequate nutrition and lack of physical activity are the background of many gastroenterological problems, so I focus on prevention and health awareness during consultations.
When examining the entire gastrointestinal tract, I examine patients according to current professional recommendations. I believe it is important to build trust with the patient both before and after the endoscopy, so that if any abnormality is found or the patient's complaints are not explained by the image seen, the patient should not be left without regular check-ups.
