About Us & Areas of Expertise

As Head of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at the First Department of Surgery at Semmelweis University, and as Medical Director of Endomedix Diagnostic Centres – the largest private gastroenterology network in Hungary, with centres in Budapest and other major cities across the country – I serve as the medical director of the Endomedix Diagnostic Centres.

My main area of expertise and research is Helicobacter pylori its therapeutic aspects – a subject in which I also obtained a PhD – as well as the complex diagnosis and treatment of peptic ulcers.

Research & Recognition

I have been a member of the Hungarian Society of Gastroenterology (MGT) since 1991, and have held an executive position and served on the supervisory board since 2000. As a founding member of the Hungarian Helicobacter pylori Working Group, I serve as minute-taker and secretary. I am a regular speaker at numerous national and international conferences.

• Professional publications: „Author of the book *What You Need to Know About Peptic Ulcer Disease* (Springer, 1998), and co-author of two chapters in the *HELICOBACTER PYLORI* Consensus booklet.
• Scientific publications: „Author of the publication ”A Survey of the Literature on Famotidine” (1996) and of a paper on the relationship between NSAIDs and famotidine (Richter G. Rt., 1997).
