Stomach ache – the main symptom of stomach diseases is abdominal (upper abdominal, stomach-area) pain, which can be cramping, burning or dull.
How the pain relates to meals (hunger pain or pain after eating) can be characteristic of certain diseases.
The following must always be regarded as alarm (warning) symptoms if they accompany the pain: loss of appetite, weight loss, nausea, vomiting, aversion to food, bleeding (black stools, vomiting blood) and stomach-emptying problems.
