Symptoms of stomach cancer – it often causes no symptoms, and frequently only causes complaints in advanced cases.
The following must always be regarded as warning symptoms of stomach cancer: loss of appetite, weight loss, nausea and vomiting, aversion to food, bleeding (black stools, vomiting blood) and impaired stomach emptying.
Sometimes it can also cause so-called paraneoplastic symptoms: recurrent phlebitis/thrombosis, acanthosis nigricans (brownish, velvety skin changes, mainly in the skin folds) and a special type of anaemia (microangiopathic haemolytic anaemia).
